Hong Kong China’s Ng Tsz Yau earned a shot at a double at the YONEX Taipei Open 2022, making the finals of both her events.
Ng and Lee Chun Hei Reginald overcame Malaysia’s Hoo Pang Ron/Toh Ee Wei in the mixed doubles semifinals before Ng partnered Tsang Hiu Yan to make the women’s doubles final beating local pair Sung Shuo Yun/Yu Chien Hui in straight games.
In the mixed doubles final, Lee Chun Hei and Ng take on Thailand’s Ruttanapak Oupthong/Chasinee Korepap, while in the women’s doubles final, Ng and Tsang face Rui Hirokami/Yuna Kato.
Hirokami and Kato got the better of Japanese compatriots and seventh seeds Sayaka Hobara/Hinata Suzuki 21-7 10-21 21-15.

♦ Japan’s Kodai Naraoka made his second straight final after featuring in the title round of the Singapore Open last week. The fourth seed beat local lad Lin Chun-Yi 21-19 22-20.
♦ All three home favourites progressed into the final. Tai Tzu Ying had it easy against Hsu Wen Chi, while Chou Tien Chen was as much at ease against Soong Joo Ven, both winning in straight games. Olympic champions Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin made their first final since their Olympic triumph, beating Malaysia’s Boon Xin Yuan/Wong Tien Ci 21-10 21-14.
