From playing volleyball in the pool to adapting to weather change, the athletes part of the Indonesian badminton festival have found being in the bubble in Nusa Dua, Bali quite interesting.

“It’s my first time in Bali, I’m really enjoying it and looking forward to the tournaments. I played volleyball in the pool and it was really fun communicating with and getting to know people from different countries. It’s been really fun.”

“It’s taken me four days to get here, but I’m happy to be in Bali. I really lucked out with my hotel room. It’s lovely, everything is lovely and I’m feeling really good.”

“I’ve definitely loved the social side of being here. We played water volleyball and it’s a lot of fun. Coming from the cold to warm – it’s good. I hear it’s going to snow in the UK. Ha!”

“It’s been quite good because it’s my first time in Bali and Indonesia. I’m really happy to be here. The weather is quite hard to get used to, but it’s okay.”

“I can’t enjoy it yet. I’m feeling very nervous ahead of the tournament next week, the burden is still on me and also I’m trying to get over the jetlag. Going from the cold to the hot has been quite difficult and I just need to settle into the conditions.”

“I really like Bali. From Bulgaria, where it’s now two degrees, coming to Bali, to the hot weather, is perfect. We can relax and don’t need to wear our winter clothes.”
